Migos is a hip-hop trio from Lawrenceville, Georgia. Formed in 2009, this trio consists of three rappers, Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff. They released their first mixtape, Juug Season, in 2011, and in 2012, they followed with the mixtape, No Label.
In 2013, Migos released their breakout single, “Versace,” which received mainstream attention when Drake remixed it, adding a verse. “Versace” was from the group's 2013 mixtape, Y.R.N., receiving critical acclaim for its “dirty South vibes.” “Versace” was later featured in many publication's year-end lists for “the best of 2013.”
In 2014, Migos released their next mixtape No Label 2. The tape was downloaded 100,000 times, certifying it gold on the mixtape sharing site DatPiff. Migos's debut album Yung Rich Nation was released July 31, 2015. The album received generally positive reviews and sold 15,000 copies in its first week, coming in at #3 on the “Top Rap Album” charts.
In January 2017, Migos released their second album, Culture, which shot up to the top of the charts. In 2018, the group followed up Culture with the equally-as-successful Culture II.
The group's four top 10 singles on Billboard Hot 100 include “Bad and Boujee,” “MotorSport,” “Stir Fry,” and “Walk It Talk It.”
