My order went through checkout successfully, but nothing happened. What should I do?
Payments will occasionally fail when checking out using PayPal, even though you are successfully returned to License Lounge. If your order is still in a “payment pending” state after checking out through PayPal, first log into Paypal and verify that the transaction was actually completed. If you do not see the transaction in your recent activity, then the payment was never actually billed. In our experience, this is the most common cause for this issue.
If this is the case, you can safely attempt to purchase the product again using the alternative Paypal method.
I bought a beat but have not gotten an email with the download link. What do I do?
If you still cannot access your purchased downloads, there are other possible causes. Here are some common situations that we see that may delay or prevent you from accessing your downloads.
If you pay with an eCheck (your bank account) using Paypal, those funds are not disbursed immediately and will take 2-3 days for your order to be completed. Once the eCheck clears, then your order is automatically updated and the downloads become available.
On rare occasion, Paypal takes up to an hour to update our system with your payment information. This can delay your order from being completed and the emails from being sent out.

Do you offer separated audio files for the beats that are purchased?
Which license should I purchase?
Choosing which license is right for you depends on the needs of you project. If you need certain rights for certain uses, your best bet would be to compare what each license offers, and see if the rights granted fit your project demands. Gold licenses are generally used for small projects, Platinum licenses tend to be used for larger projects that require more units sold and/or more ways to use the master recording, and Diamond licenses are for more mainstream projects.
What payment methods do you accept?
What if the music I download is not the music I purchased?
Our complete policies regarding purchases made through our site can be found on our buyer warranties page.
Here is our policy on the matter:
The License Lounge Store delivers Products which are maintained and represented by third party sellers in our marketplace. As we make every effort to verify the quality and accuracy of the Products represented in our store, it may be possible for a download to vary significantly from its representation. If the download you receive is not the Product represented by your purchase as determined by License Lounge, we make the following guarantee to the buyer: We will make available, free of charge, another download link to the correct Product, or if the correct Product cannot be made available, we will refund 100% of the purchase price to the buyer including any taxes paid.
What is a license agreement?
We use the term “license agreement” to refer to the digitally signed license file that comes with every beat licensed through our beat platform. The license agreement constitutes the legal proof of rights granted between the buyer and seller for beat licenses purchased on License Lounge.
The “license agreement” is actually just a human readable text file which outlines in plain english the terms under which any given instrumental beat was sold. A digital signature which can only be produced by License Lounge and is unique to each individual license certificate, is then added to the text file which serves as proof that we brokered the transaction and that the contract is legitimate.
We send each license agreement that we sign to both the licensee (buyer) and licensor (seller). In this way, both parties rights are protected as the license certificate is a secure proof of the transaction under the given terms.
If either party attempts to modify any terms outlined within the license agreement, the License Lounge signature will not validate and the license agreement is not legitimate. And since we are the only one capable of generating our unique signature, it is not possible for anybody to make up their own license agreement and claim that a beat was licensed under it.
How are beats delivered?
Beats purchased through the License Lounge marketplace are available instantly for download as soon as payment is made in full. An email is sent to the email address used to make the purchase which has download links to the purchased music.

What is a beat license?
How does the licensing work?
Licenses are offered by our producers for the use of their instrumental music in performance and production. A license must be purchased in order to legally use the instrumental music in any profitable distribution of derivative works.
Any given instrumental beat may have a number of different licenses available for purchase, each suited to a specific type of buyer. In this way, instrumental beats can be sold for a price that is appropriate to how they intend to be used.
Once a license is purchased for a beat in the License Lounge marketplace, a license certificate is generated and signed digitally for legal purposes. It is then sent out with the order to both the buyer (licensee) and the seller (licensor). The license certificate acts as the legal contract between the artist and producer.
If I buy a beat or instrumental from this website, what can I use it for?
It all depends on the license you purchase.
When you purchase a license through the License Lounge marketplace, you are granted the right to make a derivative work from the instrumental music and in nearly all cases, sell that derivative work for a profit. You are also granted the right to perform the derivative work. How you sell or perform that derivative work is entirely up to you, however, the license defines how much of that you can actually do without paying royalties back to the producer.
You are NOT allowed to resell or license the instrumental music yourself in any way.
What if I didn’t receive any emails after I placed an order?
We send out email receipts and download links to the email address that was used during the checkout process. Please verify that you are checking the correct email account. If you mistakenly used an incorrect email address during checkout, please call or email our support line so that we can get your email address corrected on the order.
If you did not receive any email from us at the email address used to place the order, it may be due to our email being blocked by your spam filter. Please check in your spam folder to see if our email was mistakenly routed there. To ensure that our email does not get blocked by your spam filter, you may need to whitelist our email address.
If you still cannot find the emails that we sent to you, you should visit our lost password retrieval page to request your account login information be re-sent to you. Access the password recovery page here. Once you have access to your License Lounge customer account, you will be able to review your order and download any purchased files from your account interface.
The license allows me to sell 2000 copies. If i distribute this song for free, is there a limit?
Technically, the licensing agreement considers a distributed copy (whether paid or not) as royalty bearing, which would count toward your licensing limit. If you were to give away more than 2000 copies of your mastered track, you could be liable to pay royalties for the copies in excess of 2000 that you distributed even though you hadn’t made a cent on them.
If I bought Diamond rights to a beat and was trying to get radio play, would it be possible for me to do that or would i have to have exclusive rights to the beat?
It depends on the license terms that the seller is offering. If the license terms state that you can air the mastered track on the radio, then you would be entitled to do that under the terms of the license.
Is it possible to remove the voice tags of the producer from the instrumental or is that be achieved when the instrumental is finally purchased?
Voice tags are an audible watermark. They are removed from the purchased version of the beat.
You will be provided an untagged version of the beat when a paid license is purchased through License Lounge. The description provided for the specific licenses available from the Track Details page will outline what type of producer credits are required when the beat is distributed. Occasionally, the producer will require that one voice tag remain in the beat (depending on the license purchased). Make sure to read the details for the license that you are purchasing for clarity on this.
